Gründung 1985 als Trio (Grahl, Maier & Hake) in Meissen, zunächst als Plutonium Dachstein und Billy Shears & the One and Only, 1987 Übersiedlung nach Berlin. Der durch Hinzukommen von Rohde und Knaack veränderte Sound ab 1989 läutete die kreativste und erfolgreichste Phase der Band ein. Nach ihrem Weggang 1991 (Rohde gründete danach Ruby Tuesday, Knaack plante eine Re-Union von Torpedo Mahlsdorf) hatte sich Big Savod zwar einen Status als fleißige, solide und erfolgreiche Liveband erspielt, die musikalische Entwicklung stagnierte aber. Die Hits ihres einzigen Albums von 1992 waren allesamt Neueinspielungen von ihrer damals bereits drei Jahre alten Debüt-Kassette. Split ca. Mitte 90er.
