Für Matthias Mai a.k.a. '''DJ Shame''', zentrale Figur der Weimarer und Thüringer HipHop Szene, waren '''East Domestic''' nur ein frühes von vielen weiteren Projekten. So war er mit der Reihe "Gerber Hiphop Slam" (1993/94) des berühmten Weimarer Hausprojektes "Gerberstraße 3" verbunden und gründete 1994 die lokale "Hall of Fame". 1995 startete er im Jenaer Club "Kassablanca", zusammen mit den lokalen DJs [[DJ Légères|Légères]] (= Thomas Schläfer) & [[DJ Ill-Jah|Ill-Jah]] (= Ilja Gabler), weitere HipHop Events unter dem Titel "Boomshakalaka", 1997 entstand ebenda zusammen mit DJ Légères (später u.a. bei [[Feindrehstar]]) das Mixtape-Label ''[[Goldmine Tapes]]'' (später auch ''Goldmine Recordings''). 1999 bis 2001 betrieb er in Weimar auch einen "Goldmine Store" und gestaltete Wagen für die Love-Parade und die Hanfparade. <br>Seit 2008 heißt seine neue Crew '''4 Elements Club''', zuletzt arbeitete er überwiegend als Resident DJ in Frankfurt/Main.

Für Matthias Mai a.k.a. DJ Shame, zentrale Figur der Weimarer und Thüringer HipHop Szene, waren East Domestic nur ein frühes von vielen weiteren Projekten.
