Vorläufer war das Trio Kill Festar mit Musikern aus Berlin & Potsdam (2010 bis 2013), nach mehreren Drummerwechseln widmete sich die Band als Neighborhood Brats und schließlich als Not The Ones dem 77er DIY-Punkrock & Powerpop á la TV Personalities und The Boys. Das Demo und die Debüt EP wurden von Smail produziert, der auch einige musikalische Beiträge beisteuerte.
