Der 1995 gegründete Bandvorläufer '''[https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Contrition/59214 Contrition]''' war in Schleiz ansässig und offenbar noch näher am damals gängigen Hardcore. 1996 drehte sich das bandinterne Besetzungskarussell recht heftig, 1998 wurde mit der Umbenennung in '''Fall Of Serenity''' auch eine musikalische Neuausrichtung signalisiert. Es gab aber auch 1999 noch Auftritte als '''Contrition'''.<br>Zwischen Anfang 2009 und Ende 2010 (a.a.O. 2012) war die Band vorläufig aufgelöst.<br />
