Ursprünglich nur '''The Villains'''. 2007 erschien das erste, zu dritt aufgenommene Album auf dem von [[Eric Fish]] gegründeten Label ''[[Esox Music]]''. Der Frontmann von '''[[Subway To Sally]]''' gastierte auf dem Album auch als Sänger, Gerit Hecht (sein Begleiter bei Soloproduktionen) stieg danach bei '''The Villains''' ein. Ursprünglich nur The Villains. 2007 erschien das erste, zu dritt aufgenommene Album auf dem von Eric Fish gegründeten Label Esox Music. Der Frontmann von Subway To Sally gastierte auf dem Album auch als Sänger, Gerit Hecht (sein Begleiter bei Soloproduktionen) stieg danach bei The Villains ein. Auf dem zweiten Album waren Eric Fish, Gerit Hecht und Rainer Michalek (ebenfalls Eric Fish solo) wieder dabei.
Jan Hößler legte sich später den Künstlernamen "Jan Mas" zu und labelte auch alle früheren Releases auf Jan Mas & The Villains um. Aktuell tritt er nur noch solo-akustisch oder mit Begleitung als Jan Mas auf.
