Die Labelgründer waren Uwe Weigmann (aktueller Geschäftsführer), Annikki Kretschmer und Jan Kühn. 2003 wurde der Labelname auf ''Firestation Records'' verkürzt. Seitdem sind auch viele Bands des originalen UK Brit/Indiepop der 1980er Jahre im Programm.
