Das Trio Stecka/Micha/Rolf agierte bereits ab 1994 noch deutlich punklastiger unter dem Namen Aeolomea und nahm in dieser Formation 1997 und 1998 am lokalen Bandwettbewerb "BandBreite" teil. 1999 wurde mit einer neuen musikalischen Ausrichtung, inspiriert durch "...Klangwelten von Bands wie Motorpsycho und Sonic Youth..." der neue Name Arvid Noir fällig, 2001 entstand ein Quartett daraus. Zwischen 2008 (unvollendetes Album) und 2011 scheint es eine "Bandruhe" gegeben zu haben.
