Modeselektor
Berliner Electronic Music & Produzenten-Duo, aktiv als Modeselektor seit 1996.
Sebastian Szary (*1975) und Gernot Bronsert (*1978) stammen aus dem Ost-Berliner Speckgürtel (Rüdersdorf und Woltersdorf) und arbeiteten bereits seit 1992 gemeinsam an Musik, seit 1996 dann als Modeselektor in Berlin. Frühe Aktivitäten entfalteten sie im Köpenicker Jugendkulturzentrum ALL, wo sie Studioräume unter dem Namen "Elektroheadz" einrichteten. Sebastian produzierte hier u.a. den größten Teil der Aufnahmen der "Super Rock Converter"-Compilation.
Ihr breitgefächertes Interesse an elektronisch erzeugter Musik umfasste in den 1990ern auch HipHop, so z.B. in Aufnahmen von Sebastian als Fundamental Knowledge und DJ Shah. Gernot war seinerzeit Teil der Formation Illuminati.
