Battle Axes
Heavy Metal Band aus Rostock (und Umgebung?), 1992 bis 1999. Als Gorgons Eyes in Berlin bis (nach?) 2007.
Als erste Kontaktadressen werden Rostock (Below) und Waren/Müritz (Muchow) genannt. Das erste Tape wurde von Dirk Grabow (Damien Breed) im Studio von Tepa Records produziert, er spielte auch auf zwei Titeln Gitarre. Spätestens nach der Umbenennung in Gorgons Eyes wird die Band in Berlin verortet. Das kann mit dem Zugang des sehr erfahrenen Gitarristen Rocco Stellmacher zu tun gehabt haben, der bereits auf dem 99er Demo mitspielt, von dem auch eine Battle Axes Version existiert. Für die weiteren Besetzungen der Gorgons Eyes werden noch sechs weitere (!) Gitarristen genannt, die aber vermutlich nur bei Auftritten zum Einsatz kamen, um den Albumsound auch live reproduzieren zu können.
